​Currently, Mr. Long is accepting new Social Security and Family Law cases. Mr. Long has a proven track record in winning difficult social security disability cases, including taking cases to federal district court.

While attending law school, Mr. Long worked at the Veteran’s Legal Assistance clinic, providing legal assistance to homeless veterans at the Veteran’s Village of San Diego. Working as a certified law student, he was able to obtain relief in child support arrears and worked to argue disabilities benefits from the Veterans Administration and Social Security for the Veterans.


In November 2011, Mr. Long was selected from a group of attorney’s to begin a pilot program known as the Center for Solo Practitioners which supports attorneys develop skills to start their own law firm from the ground up.


Mr. Long attended California State University San Marcos, earning his B.A. in Literature and Writing. During his senior year, he was selected to be the Editor-in-Chief of the university’s student newspaper.  In this role, Mr. Long won the school’s award for leader of the year of an organization.  As a writing student, Mr. Long received accolades from his professors for his short stories and poems, having selections published in school magazines. Graduating Magna Cum Laude, Mr. Long went on to work as a technical writer/editor for a military contract company helping to write secret manuals and government contract proposals.

Mr. Long served his country honorably for eight years as a Navy Corpsman.  For the first two years, Mr. Long worked in the ICU at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital. Then, he went on to serve the next six with the Marines on Camp Pendleton. His duties included preventive medicine, combat medicine, combat skills instructor and medical intelligence.  Working with his battalion to promote combat readiness, Patrick also worked as a facilitator for Seven Habits of Highly Success People, teaching course based on the fundamentals of leadership and time management.
